Turf King is proud to partner with Cityscapes in support of The RHS Autumn Show at Lindley Hall, Westminster October 22nd & 23rd 2013.

Turf King will be supplying the RHS artificial grass for the main show garden display in the Shades of Autumn show.

The event gives attendees a  unique opportunity to see, touch and feel some of the Turf King products up close and personal.  We’ve got a sleepless night ahead of us tonight in preparation for this event so please make it worth our while by popping down and saying hello and enjoying everything this wonderful event has to offer…

“This year the RHS Shades of Autumn Show has a completely fresh look and feel. We are working in collaboration with CityScapes a London garden festival, to bring a show garden into the Lindley Hall – but it’s not just any garden!

The Cloudy Bay Discovery Garden which won a Silver Gilt medal at the 2013 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, is being rebuilt so that it can be enjoyed again.

The show garden has already been a popular attraction this summer on the bank of the Thames, where it has been ‘remixed’ four times by different designers in the courtyard of the Oxo Wharf Tower.

It will have its final reincarnation at the RHS Shades of Autumn Show, recreated by its original designers Andrew Wilson and Gavin McWilliam. After this, the materials and plants will be donated to a community project.

Between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday 22 October the Lindley Hall will be holding a symposium. This is a great opportunity to hear about the CityScapes project and about the designers’ experiences and influences. All are welcome.

Making an entrance

The show’s fresh look starts at the entrance. As visitors enter Lindley Hall from Vincent Square, their senses will be awoken as they see, hear and smell autumn, walking among fallen leaves before getting a first glimpse of the show garden.

Alongside the sensational show garden, five specialist nurseries have been selected to work with CityScapes and the four Remix designers in creating original floral displays which break the traditional mould and should dazzle and inspire with their creative flair. Products and plants will also be available next to the displays.

In addition you’ll see specially chosen tradestands in the Lindley Hall so you can treat yourself or find something exciting for the garden.

Inside Lawrence Hall

Get more retail therapy, including plants and garden accessories, in the Lawrence Hall next door. Nurseries and tradestands will be packed with stunning autumn colour, there will be a beautiful Dahlia display and the RHS Advisory Service will be available to answer your gardening queries.

We’re welcoming both past exhibitors and some that are new to our London shows.

There will be an exhibition of artwork by the Chelsea Physic Garden Florilegium Society on the Lawrence Hall dais and this area will not be used for talks during this show except for two talks by the RHS Advisory Service: Hardwood cuttings (Tuesday) and Keeping chickens in the garden (Wednesday).”
